They are more pictures to come, we’re just so busy! Despite all the other events and parties last weekend, we managed to fill up Asmetrdam’s De Nieuwe Anita and get the place either finger snapping in the foyer or dancing on the dance floor.

A huge thanks to DJ Thomas Bohnet who hadn’t been in Amsterdam since the late seventies, DJ Duo Studio 17 for having way too much fun DJing a strictly French set in the foyer and all the fresh new faces that had the Radio Oh la la experience for the first time. Oh and thanks to Matijs for casually showing up with a copy of Louis Malle’s Vive le Tour which we threw on the DVD player pronto.

I have not yet had the pleasure of meeting everyone in my links section, but last weekend, Christophe from Paris of Teppaz and co. decided to come and find out what Amsterdam is all about. And yes, he had a rockin’ good time! For anyone who loves French retro and aesthetics, visit this site. There are articles in French that will eventually be translated into English for all to enjoy.

On 24 May at De Nieuwe Anita in Amsterdam all the way from Munich, DJ Thomas Bohnet of Le Tour will be popping into Amsterdam to spin a wide range of French pop for which he is known throughout Germany and beyond. In the foyer DJ Duo Studio 17 have an all French programme of yéyé, easy listening and cartoon music for the finger snappin’ hipsters and yours truly DJ Natashka and my jerk and jazz favourites will warm up the dance floor and duck out to sip some exclusively imported champagne until they throw us all out.
